How Do I Help Prevent Exposure to COVID-19?
The first and best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to the virus. Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) highly recommends frequent washing of your hands, avoiding close contact with others, and cleaning and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Individuals with chronic medical conditions or acute illnesses along with senior adults should take extra precautionary measures.
It is recommended that social distancing of at least 6 feet should be followed at all time. When confined to public indoor spaces, or around more where social distancing is difficult, the CDC recommends use of non-medical, cloth-based face coverings at a minimum.
